A Reflection on My 25 Years

It is astounding to believe that I have been privileged enough to work as a physical therapist for twenty-five years (and I’m not finished!).  I was completely surprised at the end of August by my wonderful coworkers who had organized a small celebration for me.  What really caught me off guard and left me speechless were all of the letters and notes from my colleagues and patients, both past and present.  I am truly and sincerely touched by how many people took a few moments out of their day to reach out to me and send kind words my way.  Thank you.

While the profession of physical therapy has certainly evolved over the years, the one constant is the patient.  I do what I do because I want to help people lead the best quality of life that they can, educate them along the way, and cheer them on to every victory large and small.  It is the best job!  I continue to learn, gain new skills and reinvent myself as a professional to ensure that I can bring the best techniques and skills to each of you.  To be surrounded by a team of supremely talented, like-minded people that are more than coworkers - they are my friends - is the frosting on the cake!

So, to each of you, thank you for trusting me to take care of you.  You all teach me, enrich my day, and challenge me to be the best physical therapist that I can.  I look forward to seeing what the future holds and continuing my journey in this incredible profession!
