The third annual Crystal Lake Aquathon will be taking place within the ideal confines of Three Oaks Recreational Center in Crystal Lake, IL. As the only aquathon in the state of Illinois, this race will offer 3 options:

• Sprint Distance (500m swim, 5k run)
• Olympic Distance (1 mile swim, 10k run)
• 2 Mile Swim Only 
• Kids Race (250 meter swim, 1 Mile Run)

The swim portion takes place in a modified quarry (swim around 3 islands!) while the run is on a combination of trail, sand, and pavement (and even a bridge!). Follow these links to view course maps for the 2019 run course and swim course.

Check out the amazing swag for the 2018 race participants! All participants received a finishers medal, swim cap for their respective event, in-person or virtual running technique teaching session, and a beach towel.  Plus, check out the Top Finishers Prizes.

Come for the race, stay for the fun at the awards ceremony/after-party hosted by The Quarry Cable Park. Awards will be given to top male and female finishers in each age group for each event. All participants will be given a free raffle ticket for a chance win great items. Last place finishers receive a special prize too! Stay after to enjoy all that Three Oaks has to offer: swimming, sailboat and paddle board rentals, scuba diving, children's playground/splash park, volleyball, fishing, and fun in the sun!

• $1000 "Ironman Distance": large banner at start and finish line, >20 mentions during the race, special recognition at the award ceremony, prominent placement on website and registration site, logo on volunteer shirts, sponsor table at event
• $500 "Olympic Distance": signage along the race, >10 mentions during the race, special recognition at the award ceremony, name/logo/link on website, logo on volunteer shirt, sponsor table at event
• $250 "Sprint Distance": >5 mentions during the race, name/logo/link on the website, logo on volunteer shirt, sponsor table at event
• $100 "Dash Distance": mention at the beginning and end of race, name on volunteer shirt, sponsor table at event
• In Kind Donations: raffle prizes, food items, drink items - please email to brainstorm!
